Prism partners with International Contact Centre Leader

Leading regional and international Business Process Outsourcers (BPO) Prism Services and Transactel, recently announced a strategic alliance between the two companies.   The objective of the alliance is to create a Trinidad based “centre of excellence” for contact centre services which will become the first choice of organisations, from the region and internationally, who wish to outsource a host of service delivery functions.

Neil Fairfield, General Manager of Prism’s Outsourced Business Services Division, believes that Trinidad is very much under-represented in the international contact centre market.   He adds that “Despite many other Caribbean countries employing thousands in the industry, we still have to establish ourselves as a destination for service buyers.  We already have the ingredients for success; a thriving contact centre industry is built on a foundation of leading edge information and communications technology and exceptional staff operating at all levels within the organisation.  Our tertiary education establishments are now producing significant numbers of articulate, intelligent and committed individuals well suited to building and supporting the required technology and delivering world class services to any organisation’s customers”.
On the alliance with Transactel Fairfield added “It’s not often that you find a partner organisation that so clearly demonstrates values so similar to yours.   It’s very easy to see that we can work well together.  Transactel provides us with a clear roadmap for developing our business and the industry in Trinidad in all key aspects of call centre operation.   We’ve seen many other call centres, both in the region and internationally, and few can compare.”
Transactel is headquartered in Barbados and operates contact centres in Guatemala and El Salvador.     The company has doubled in size over the past 5 years and now employs over 4,500 ‘Service Heroes’.    In 2009 it was ranked 30th in the Central American and Caribbean Regional Best Companies List by the Great Place to Work Institute.   It has also received several other contact centre industry awards including being ranked as one of the world’s top 20 contact centres by Contact Centre World in the same year.
The Prism Services Group operates in Trinidad, Barbados and Jamaica and provides services to many of the Caribbean’s premier businesses.   In addition to the call centre services offered by the parent company their portfolio extends to document mailing solutions, through Streamline Solutions Ltd. (formerly Trinidad and Tobago Mailing Systems Ltd.), Loyalty Management and Physical and Electronic Records Management (Stronghold Data Solutions Ltd.).    Prism’s contact centre operation’s telephony technology also supports client needs for voice messaging, remote hosted PBX, automated customer surveys and a host of other services.

Stronghold Jamaica - new record destruction service

Stronghold Data Solutions (www.strongholdsolutions.com) , a regional records management that offers a full range of records management solutions, has expanded its business to include secure document destruction in Jamaica.

Stronghold has recently installed a new state-of-the-art industrial shredder at its Kingston facility at Retirement Crescent.

Operations Manager Clive Christie highlighted that Stronghold has had an overwhelming response from their customer base to provide a “onestop-shop” approach towards records management as they wanted one point of contact and accountability for the preparation of records, the physical storage of documents, digital conversion and secure document destruction.

Christie explained that “accountability, trust and transparency is vital to our business and as such we have devised a systematic process which begins at the initial pickup all the through to the actual destruction”. “Stronghold will collect documents directly from client location where each item is bar-coded and tracked by Stronghold’s content management system to provide detailed item auditing and exact time of destruction. Efficient workflows ensure documents marked for destruction are processed in a secure and timely manner and Stronghold can provide Certificates of Destruction for confirmation. Clients are also able to view the destruction process if required.

Now, in addition to storing physical records for clients in a controlled and secure environment ensuring easy and fast retrieval, both physically and electronically, Stronghold Data Solutions can now fully manage workflow and retention schedules by providing onsite secure document destruction for its clients.

Additionally, along with range of services provided by the records management company, Stronghold Data Solutions also offers a unique service known as the Secure Shred Bin service. This is a secure, convenient and safe way of storing and discarding your unwanted, confidential documents daily.
Stronghold Data Solutions at the client’s request will provide a tamper proof key locked container, which will be placed at a central point in a client’s facility. When full Stronghold will retrieve and destroy all items in these containers.

Stronghold Data Solutions also has a presence in the Caribbean through its partnership with Trinidad’s market leader Chapman’s Records Management. Chapman’s and Stronghold Data Solutions provide one regional service from its Jamaica and Trinidad hubs.

Stronghold Data Solutions is a member of the Prism Services group, a regional business-business outsourcing company with its Head Office based in Barbados and other subsidiaries located in six (5) other Caribbean territories – Trinidad, Jamaica, St. Vincent, Grenada, St. Lucia and Antigua.
