Stronghold Expands Eastern Caribbean Presence

Prism Services, a leading Caribbean provider of outsourced business services, has expanded its information  management enterprise; Stronghold Data Solutions (www.strongholdsolutions.com) with a new facility at Dayrells, St George in Barbados as well as merged its existing data scanning operation (Securedataman) into Stronghold.

Stronghold offers information management and business continuity solutions to customers within Barbados and the wider Eastern Caribbean. This new operation will provide facilities for those organizations in need of a safe and secure location to store and host data remotely, test their restoration plans and provide a backup data or user site.

Stronghold currently provides information management services in Jamaica and in Trinidad via a relationship with Chapmans Records Management.  It also provides digital records management (conversion of paper to electronic images) in Barbados to a number of existing clients.
Stronghold Barbados is located at Dayrells, St. George, and supplies clients with a dependable way to safeguard the integrity of their data in the event of a natural or manmade disaster. Should such an event occur, the client’s data will be protected and could be retrieved from anywhere at any time. The online and offsite backup services available ensure the safety of this data. The facility at Dayrells includes, but is not limited to, a fire suppression system, environmental monitors, UPS facilities, and ADSL circuits.

The space at Dayrells consists of two rooms. One of these rooms contains the data centre and the other is set up as an office which can be rented by corporations for testing purposes. This testing will allow the organization to ensure that in the event of a disaster, they will be able to access their data and essentially operate the business from a remote location.
Stronghold’s data testing and continuity has six clients in Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean.
